Another such event will be the opening of a unique exhibition by Alicja Bodzioch entitled “MY HOME”. It is a surreal journey into the world of imagination, where form and color play a major role.
Exhibit “MY HOUSE” Alicji Bodzioch is an unusual project that she hosts in the walls of Stara Drukarnia as a result of winning the prestigious Rejawach competition, organized as part of the Ravekjavik festival. This competition, which is one of the most important events on the Łódź art scene, rewards young artists for their unique perspective, creativity and unique approach to art.
Alicja, winner of two awards — one awarded by the Łódź Academy of Fine Arts and the other by the Stara Drukarnia — gained the opportunity to present her works in the interiors of our unusual office building. For the artist, this is an opportunity to show her creative vision to a wide range of audiences who work in this place on a daily basis or visit it to experience temporary exhibitions.
Stara Drukarnia, as a partner of the competition, emphasizes its mission to support young artists and promote Lodz culture. It is thanks to such initiatives that art becomes more accessible and young artists can appear on the artistic map of Poland.
Alicja Bodzioch is a renowned illustrator and graphic designer from Łódź who has won recognition for her surrealist works. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Lodz, she combines tradition with modernity in her work. He draws inspiration from myths, legends and pop culture, creating works full of intense colors and mysterious and distorted forms.
The artist has numerous successes to her credit, including wins in prestigious competitions such as “City of Words Festival” or “Pandemic? Crisis!” Her works have also graced events such as the Light Move Festival in Łódź or the electronic music festival Ravekjavik.
Exhibit ”MY HOUSE” is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a world where dawn and sleep interpenetrate each other. Alice's works are not just paintings — they are stories that evoke childhood memories, deforming them into surreal visions full of emotion and saturated colors.
The exhibition invites the audience to plunge into the nooks and crannies of memory, where imagination distorts everyday life, creating a personal mythology. It is also a reflection on escaping from the gray of the day and the possibility of immersing yourself in the world of dreams that transform reality into something extraordinary.
