Training — how to do it right

Organization of training — sounds simple, right? But everyone who has faced this task at least once knows that it is much more than just renting a hall and inviting a speaker. Good training is the result of carefully planned activities that are not visible at first glance - but that the participants feel from the very beginning. What makes guests leave the training with specific knowledge? What elements have the greatest impact on its quality? Here are some proven ways to help you plan an effective and memorable event.

1. Start with a goal — what do you want to achieve?

Good training starts with a simple question: why do you organize them? Is it about transferring knowledge, developing solutions together, implementing new procedures, or maybe integration and development?
A clearly defined goal allows you to choose the right format — lectures, workshops, group work — and plan a schedule that is dynamic but not overwhelming. A balanced agenda, with moments for rest and informal exchange of thoughts, is something that participants will really appreciate.

2. A space that promotes focus and freedom

The place where the training takes place has a real impact on the quality of the whole day. The right space is one where it's easy to focus but just as easy to interact with others. Comfortable seating, ergonomic room layout, good acoustics and access to daylight - all this helps to keep you engaged for several hours.
The environment is also important — is the space pleasant, aesthetic, functional? Training is not only content — it is also an experience that is created as soon as you enter the room.

3. A technique that will not fail at a crucial moment

One of the most common concerns of organizers? “Will everything work?” — presentation, sound system, Wi-Fi, adapters. These are details that should not bother your head on the day of the event.
At first glance, this may seem like a detail, but those who organize training are well aware of how much a small technical glitch can spoil. A projector that does not want to work with a laptop, or Wi-Fi that “works, but not today” - these are things that effectively undercut the wings of even the most charismatic leader.
Therefore, it is worthwhile to check in advance everything that will be used during training. It is good if there is someone on site who can react quickly when something stops working. Such “invisible help” can save the whole day.

4. Comfort of people — not only during the lecture

Many organizers forget how important the moments between thematic blocks are. The coffee break is the time when the most happens — establishing relationships, spontaneous discussions, behind-the-scenes questions. In any agenda there should be a place for a break, and it is good if you do not have to leave the building or look for a nearby cafe for this purpose.
In Stara Drukarnia, the training space has been designed with such needs in mind. An integral part of the training room is  relaxation area and fully equipped coffee area — with espresso machine, crockery, refrigerator and place for catering service. Thanks to this, a coffee break or a light snack can take place smoothly, without interrupting the rhythm of the day. Everything happens in one place, which makes it much easier to organize.

5. Participants from outside the city? It's worth having a plan

If your event lasts two or three days, it is good to think about the comfort of the guests. Near our office building there are many hotels that allow you to arrange accommodation. Just a few minutes walk from the Stara Drukarnia is DoubleTree by Hilton — a modern hotel that works great as an accommodation for guests from other cities, but there are many more nearby. This is a great convenience — there is no need to organize transport, everything is within a few tens of meters from the place of training.

6. The center of Łódź, everything at hand

Location matters - especially if you plan additional training elements, such as a joint dinner, an evening group outing or just a walk around the city. Stara Drukarnia is located in the very center of Łódź, in the immediate vicinity of Piotrkowska Street.
This is ideal if, after the substantive part, you plan a more relaxed continuation of the day. Restaurants, cafes, galleries — all accessible without the need to travel by taxi or public transport.

Stara Drukarnia — a memorable office building in Łódź

Finally, it is worth mentioning what often remains with the participants long after the training: climate of the place. Stara Drukarnia is not another neutral room with carpet and flipchart. It is a space with a soul — industrial, open, with an artistic interior, in which you just want to be.
You will organize training here even for 50 people, with access to a comfortable relaxation area, coffee area and technical facilities. And most importantly, you can count on administrative team, which not only takes care of the logistics, but actually supports the organizers during the event. From technology, to catering, to group service. They will definitely help you solve any organizational challenges.
