Change of the exhibition in Stara Drukarnia - that is, we welcome the art of Dominik Janyszek

A new exhibition has been created in Stara Drukarnia! The exhibition space of the office building has changed its character thanks to the exhibition of Dominik Janyszek. After the end of the extraordinary exhibition by Alicja Bodzioch (albo.studio), which took us into the surreal world of memories and imagination, it was time for art that combines light, space and structure. Meet the latest exhibition — “Structures of Light”, which changes the atmosphere of our space.

In recent weeks we hosted an unusual exhibition in the Stara Drukarnia Alicji Bodzioch — “MY HOUSE”, which took us on a dreamlike journey through childhood memories and a world of imagination balancing on the border between dream and reality.
Alicja, an illustrator and graphic designer based in Łódź, creates under a pseudonym albo.studio. Her works, inspired by folk tales, mythology and pop culture, stand out surreal style, intense colors and distorted forms that stimulate the imagination and stay with the recipient for a long time.
Exhibit “MY HOUSE” is a personal reflection on the inner space of the artist — full of emotions, memories and dreams. The works presented in Stara Drukarnia took visitors to a world where Everyday life is transformed into something extraordinary — mysterious, colorful and moving.

We thank Alicja for the fact that our office building in Łódź was able to host such wonderful, colorful and expressive art. The time spent with the exhibition, orbo.studio, is a profound experience, because this art is downright mesmerizing.

Now it's time for light and structure
— Dominik Janyszek enters

In recent days, the Lobby of our Stara Drukarnia has acquired a completely new expression. Works hung on the walls Dominika Janiszka, a visual artist whose work is based on the search for the relationship between light, space, texture and rhythm.
The new exhibition entitled “Structures of Light” is the result of many years of experimentation with the form — shape, light and texture of the painting — in search of a unique way for the painting not only to look, but also to respond to the environment and the presence of the viewer.
Dominik creates relief paintings, constructed of thousands of hand-applied, convex structures. In the current exhibition there are more than 50,000 such points, created in a sculptural process — image by image, line by line, gesture by gesture.

Turning point: light as a subject of art

Although Dominik has for years balanced between 3D graphics, painting and design, the breakthrough for his work was participation in the Light Move Festival in Łódź — the largest Polish festival of light, which takes place in Łódź. While working on mappings and light spatial installations, he understood that Light is not just a carrier of an image — it can become a part of it.
That's when his fascination began. Light as a plastic variable — not just something that illuminates the image, but something that shapes, activates and changes it over time. This is how the idea of “Structures of Light” was born - images that are fully understood only when the observer begins to move when the time of day changes, the angle of incidence of light, and the space itself becomes interactive.

Paintings that come to life in interiors
The spectator is not merely a passive receiver — his presence launches a game of chiaroscuro, rhythm and texture. Paintings by Janyszek react to the environment, but attract attention, soothe the eye, draw in contemplation. It is an art balancing between digital precision and artisanal patience — each image is created from thousands of dots hand-printed on the surface of the canvas. It is from their number that the titles of the works come - for example “7556", “8211” or “2086" contain exactly as many points as their name indicates. One of the works also hides a certain mystery — one dot is missing, which is a deliberate reference to the story from the exhibition in Warsaw in 2019, where viewers eagerly searched for the missing element.
For Stara Drukarnia, the artist prepared a series of new paintings, a significant majority of which have been Specially designed for our space. It is complemented by works borrowed from private collections — the whole is created by a coherent and subtle whole, which fits perfectly into the walls of our office building.

Art that changes the rhythm of everyday life

The change of the exposition in Stara Drukarnia is more than just new works on the walls. it change the energy of the entire space which affects the daily functioning of our tenants.
Surrounded by art easier to stop — catch your breath between meetings, look at something other than a computer screen. The new exhibition is an excuse for momentary reflection, but also simply a pleasure — something that calms, inspires, supports and allows you to concentrate.
For companies and people working in Stara Drukarnia, art becomes A natural part of office life. It is not art enclosed in a gallery — it is a living, changing part of the space. Janyszek's paintings fit into this rhythm — they do not dominate, but interact with the audience with movement, light and structure.
Moreover, the change in exposure is impetus to development and openness Aesthetic, emotional and professional. It is about building a culture of a place that takes care of both the sublime functionality of the space and the quality of everyday experience.
